Sustainability Policy
As Wyndham Grand Istanbul Europe, we are aware of the sustainability efforts in tourism; we minimize the negative impacts on social, environmental, and cultural heritage and are conscious of the responsibilities that sustainable tourism brings.
Sustainable Energy: We minimize our potential negative impact on the environment through our systems that reduce energy consumption and increase efficiency, as well as through practices such as waste reduction and recycling. As part of the Wyndham GREEN program we are involved in, we regularly monitor and report on our energy efficiency and carbon footprint, fulfilling our responsibilities. Additionally, we raise awareness among our guests through eco-friendly practices, encouraging them to adopt a sustainable lifestyle.
Education and Awareness: We raise awareness among our employees by emphasizing the importance of sustainable tourism. We encourage everyone to contribute to reducing environmental impact through various educational activities and visuals.
Sustainable Procurement: We adhere to sustainability principles in our supply chain. We are committed to promoting a culture of sustainable procurement by prioritizing ethical supply chains and environmentally friendly products. When evaluating the sustainability of products and services, we consider their environmental impact, social responsibility, and economic contribution. We adopt an equitable and dedicated approach in our supply chain to support respect for human rights and fair working conditions. We comply with regulations and rules in the purchase, storage, preparation, and presentation of products.
Human Rights and Equal Employment: We comply with the published legislation, regulations, and laws in force in our country regarding human rights, occupational health and safety, and information security. We take and implement the necessary measures to provide our employees with appropriate working conditions. By providing good working conditions, we respect the rights of our employees and demand the same care from our suppliers. We act with zero tolerance for child labor, support equal employment, take a stand against issues such as gender inequality, and encourage diversity.
Sensitivity to Cultural Heritage: We aim to preserve local values and traditions by approaching local and global cultural heritage with sensitivity. In addition to introducing our guests to historical and cultural heritage, we also work to keep our values alive.
Social Responsibility Initiatives: We actively participate in social responsibility projects with the aim of contributing to building a better future for society.
